8 students of Dr D V Navathe group from VKV aka. Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tinsukia started on 29 April 2013 from Tinsukia to Kheroni, Karbialong district. They conducted 2 days workshop on 3D geometrical model making. 60 students from 4 diffeent schools participated in the programme.
The kerala state Inauguration of swami vivekananda's 150th birth anniversary celebration committee,was held on 18th November 2012 at hotel woods mannor, ernakulam. The program was inagurated by high court judge justice. THOTTATHIL.B.RADHAKRISHNAN In that eminent writter C.RADHAKRISHNAN presides over the function. P.PRAMESWARAN (president, vivekanandakendram), Justice V.R. KRISHNA IYYER,SAJINARAYANAN(Secretary) P.N.ESWARAN(Samyojak) K.K.BALARAM (Pranth Saha Sanghachalak )etc presides over the function Around 200 delegates attend the program.
A 15,000 sq feet rangoli, depicting Swami Vivekananda in the forefront, with his rock memorial in the background, will be made to mark Swami Vivekananda's 150th anniversary.
आगामी वर्ष स्वामी विवेकानन्द की 150 वीं जयन्ती का महापर्व लेकर आ रहा है। इसअवसर विश्वभर में अनेक उपक्रमों का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। इस उत्सव को अधिक हेतुपूर्ण तथा रोचक बनाने के लिए भारतवर्ष में अनेक सुन्दर कराक्रमों की योजना है। इस श्रंखला की पहली कड़ी अर्थात स्वामी विवेकानन्द सन्देश यात्रा।
The government of India has planned originally to celebrate year-long 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda from January 12, 2012 in India and abroad, while the Vivekananda Kendram, the Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari and other organizations have planned to celebrate it for one year from January 12, 2013. Consequently, now the 150th birth anniversary is being celebrated for two years from January 12, 2012 to January 12, 2014.
If India is set for celebrating 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the Indian monk who came here 100 plus years ago and won over Americans with his charming personality and his expounding Indian philosophy, the Indian Americans in this country are not far behind.
