Vivekananda Kendra Bangalore Branch celebrated Raksha Bandhan on two days. On 13th August 2011 v.k. Bangalore celebrated Raksha Bandhan in Kendra by tying Rakhi and distributing sweats and nagar pramuk said about the importance of Raksha Bandhan. On 16th August Samskar Vargakaryakartas led by Sri Niragji, (Samskar Varga Pramukh) went to different houses in local areas and they tied rakhi ‘s to nearly 250 people and told them importance of Raksha Bandhan.
Samartha Bharat Parva is the celebration of Strength of India, observed from 25th December - the first day of Swami Vivekananda’s meditation on Rock in 1892 to 12th January – Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary.
