Independence Day was celebrated in a grand manner on 15.08.2013. Shri. Hariharan,  Manager,  Canara  Bank,  Vallioor  hoisted our National flag and delivered an inspiring speech on patriotism.   Shri. Ayyappan, Secretary of RDP,  was the special guest.  Varieties of cultural programmes which reflected the theme of patriotism and our heritage made the function a successful one.

Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti conducted two Medical Camps in Lazu circle of Tirap district recently. On 13th August the camp was organized at Barap, where the patients from Sinnu, Raho, Longliang ,Langchen  and Barap were examined and free medicines were distributed among the patients. The number of patients were 128. On 14th August 69 patients were examined at Pongkong village and medicines were distributed.

Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti has organized “TEJAS” A PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP” for the Students of class VIII to X of Sec. School, Rajiv Gandhi University Campus, Doimukh on 3rd August 2013. The programme was inaugurated by Shri Lobsang Tashi Thungon, VKAJ Yuva Manch Pramukh, Shergon.
