Arun Jyoti, the service project of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari conducted one Yuva Sammelan at VKV, Kharsang on 24th February 2014. 123 youths, some of them are Ex-VKVans participated in that day long camp. There were 42 participants from Bordumsa, 41 from Kharsang, 34 from Changlang and 6 from Miao. Sri A.Balakrishnanji, all India Vice President of Vivekananda Kendra delivered the keynote address.
Directorate of Census department, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh conducted a one day Census data dissemination workshop for the students and Teachers of VKV, Itanagar on 18th Feb.2014.
Odisha conducted a State level Yuva Prerana Shibir from 23-26 January 2014 at Amrita Vidyalayam near Bhubaneswar. 62 youth from different parts of Odisha participated in the camp. The camp was inaugurated by Aadarniya Surasenji Jena, Pranta Sanchalak, VK Odisha Pranta, Mananeeya Bhanudasji guided the participants on the occasion. Br. Rasika and Br. Viju from Mata Amritanandamayi Math blessed the participants by benedictory address.

Importance of the puja was explained by Sri Debendra Kumar Malvieya Sir with two beautiful story of the sacrifice of parents.
Band Camp: In order to hoan the skills in band, performance of which has often stolen the attention of the spectators, a band Training Camp was organized at VKV Tafrogam from 4th to 9th January, 2014. Three schools namely, VKV Roing, Tafrogam and Sunpura participated in the camp.

The Free Operation Camp organized by Vievakananda Kendra Arn Jyoti in collaboration with Remote Area Medical, Knoxville, USA, concluded successfully on 8th February at Central Hospital, CIL, Margherita, Assam. A total 44 patients were operated for Gall Stone diseases, hernia, appendicitis and other ailments during the camp which was inaugurated on 3rd February by Sri.Y.Matey, Parliamentary Secretary of DOTCL, Govt.of Arunachal Pradesh.
We at VK-nardep are happy to inform you that Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam inaugurated the 'Green Rameshwaram pilgrimage' project. He gave an inspiring speech. We have shared the excerpts from that talk which we are sure you will like and share it with your friends too. We are also happy to inform you that Dr.Kalam who inspected an exhibition of panels depicting our Teertham renovation work also expressed his appreciation of the work outlining the hard and dedicated work that VK-nardep workers put into this renovation project. KANGRA - A unique presentation by woman writer and director, who showcased Swami Vivekananda's Life and teachings, was staged in the auditorium of Dr. Rajender Prasad Govt. Medical College Kangra on January 12, this year to celebrate 151st
birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and to mark the culmination of the Swami Vivekananda Shardasati Samaroh and left the audience spell bound and the play was inspiring and effective.
The Vision document in the form of a video documentary in Tamil was released at the function and was screened to the audience. It unveiled a ten-dimensional blueprint for actualizing the green Rameshwaram project.
