Samartha Bharat Parva celebrates the strength of Bharat, observed from 25th December—the day Swami Vivekananda began his meditation on the mid-sea rock in 1892—to 12th January, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
As part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Gujarat Prant, Rajkot Vibhag, Rajkot Branch, organized a Sports Festival for Samskarvarga children on 25th December 2024. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 247 children from 8 Samskarvargas. A total of 9 guests, 24 karyakarthas, and 11 judges were involved in organizing the event.
The festival was graced by Rajasthan Prant Sangathak Kum. Sheetal Didi and Gujarat Prant Sah Sangathak Sri Lokesh Ji as special guests. Held from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the event featured various games designed to promote holistic development in children, including:
- 50 Meter Run
- Kothala Run
- Boat Run
- Kendra Chalo
- Tunnel Run
- Lock Unlock
- Kho-Kho
- Gita Recitation
- Katha Kathan
The games were not only physically engaging but also aimed at enhancing mental development, concentration, team spirit, and values. The children thoroughly enjoyed the activities, gaining both life lessons and memorable experiences through the games.
