Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Kerala Vibhag, Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation, Kodungallur organized a Sadhana Diwas programme at Vedic Vision Foundation, Kodungallur on 19th November, 2023. A total of 22 people attended the programme. The organizing team comprised participants from Kendra Varga.
The programme commenced with a prayer, followed by an address from Mananeeya Dr. M. Lakshmi Kumari Didi, to the members of the Yoga Family. She highlighted the significance of Sadhana Divas, marking it as the Smriti Diwas of Mananeeya Shri Eknathji Ranade. She elucidated the concept of ‘Smriti,’ elucidating it as the repository of our minds, wherein we store memories of individuals and events. On this day dedicated to Eknath Ji's memory, she encouraged everyone to recall his remarkable achievements: constructing the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, a national monument, and establishing the spiritually oriented service mission, Vivekananda Kendra, with Tyaga (renunciation) and Seva (service) as its ideals to serve the country.
Similar to how a plant blossoms and offers beautiful flowers from its smriti, to offer to the god, we too should strive to cultivate our best qualities to serve our country, inspired by Eknath Ji's selfless service. His contributions in constructing the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and establishing Vivekananda Kendra stand as a testament to his dedication to the nation without any selfish motives.
