Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Tamil Nadu Vibhag, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Vallioor celebrated Sadhana Diwas and organized a Science Exhibition at the school premises on November 21, 2023, starting at 10:30 a.m. A total of 1,100 people participated in the program.
The occasion was graced by Sri. C. Selvakumar, the Manager of Indian Bank, Vallioor, as the Chief Guest, while Sri. S.K. Subramanian, the Correspondent of VKV MHSS, Vallioor, presided over the event.
The program commenced with a prayer song performed by the students of Class VIII, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Kum. R. Sri Hashini from Class IX. This was succeeded by a presentation on the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and incidents from the life of Swami Vivekananda, portrayed through a conversation between Kum. V. Sri Madhu and Kum. B. Kajendri from Class XI.
Following this, the Chief Guest, Sri. C. Selvakumar, addressed the gathering, highlighting Swami Vivekananda’s life, Eknathji’s dedicated work, emphasizing the value of learning lessons, and encouraging participation in extracurricular activities. He motivated the students by citing recent national achievements and offered tips to help them achieve their goals.
The distribution of prizes to students who participated in the Children’s Day competitions took place. Sri S.K. Subramanian, the Correspondent, Sri. T. Muthukrishnan, the Principal, and Sri. C. Selvakumar, the Chief Guest, distributed the prizes.
The Science Exhibition was arranged in separate rooms allocated to different departments, showcasing projects, working and non-working models, charts, etc. Students from LKG to XII standard displayed various creative works, expressing their unique thoughts and views. Each project reflected their deep involvement. The Chief Guest and parents appreciated their efforts. The celebration concluded with Kendra Prarthana.
