Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Assam Prant, Vivekananda Kendra Shiksha Prasar Vibhag (VKSPV) celebrated the 10th International Day of Yoga in a grand manner by organizing Yoga Day programs at 72 locations, with a total participation of 11,309 people.
VKSPV, an educational project of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, administers 25 Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas (24 in Assam and 1 in Nagaland). Guided by the twin objectives of Man Making and Nation Building envisioned by the great patriot saint Swami Vivekananda, VKVs impart nationalistic education in Assam and Nagaland.
Yoga, being “the core of Vivekananda Kendra”, International Day of Yoga is celebrated with grandeur by VKVs. This day serves as an opportunity to promote the true essence of yoga as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness. This year, VKVs organized International Day of Yoga programs at 72 locations, including their own vidyalayas, nearby institutions, and various events for the general public. A total of 11,309 participants from various walks of life nthusiastically joined these programs, practicing Yogasanas and Pranayama as per the International Day of Yoga protocol.
