Vevekanada Kendra Rajkot Branch celebrated National Youth Day on 12th Jan 2011 with "જાગ ઊઠા રણધીર" - "JAG UTHA RANDHIR" - One Day Shibir. Total 140 Shibirarthis and 21 Karyakartas participated in at Bal Bhavan Rajkot.
Vivekananda Jayanti programmed was celebrated on 17th January 2011 by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Branch Nagpur at Scientific hall in which about 450 people attended the programme. Shri Anand Bagdia Nagar Prmukh presided over the programme in which Ma. Mukulji Kanitkar delivered the lecture on the subject "मैं ही भारत हुं" - "Mai Hi BHARAT Hun".

National Youth Day was celebrated at Vivekananda Kendra Hyderabad at Dilsukhnagar, with a competition on Life and Massage of Swami Vivekananda, for College students, 700 college students participated in this competition out of them 80 were selected for youth camp.
Pongal is the only festival of Hindu that follows a solar calendar and is celebrated on the fourteenth of January every year. Pongal has astronomical significance: it marks the beginning of Uttarayana, the Sun's movement northward for a six month period. In Hinduism, Uttarayana is considered auspicious, as opposed to Dakshinaayana, or the southern movement of the sun. All important events are scheduled during this period. Makara Sankranthi refers to the event of the Sun entering the zodiac sign of Makara or Capricorn.
VK Brahmapur, Odisha celebrated Swami Vivekananda Jayanti on 12 January 2011. This year 11 organisations from Brahmapur town came together for this celebration. Bharat Swabhiman, Chinmaya Mission, Divine Life Society, Gayatri Shakti Peeth, Ramakrishna Sarada Seva Sangh, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Swami Vivekananda Shishu Vidya Mandir, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Vivekananda Shikhya Kendra, Yoga Vedanta Seva Samiti also joined their hands.
