The staff and students of VKV- Banderdewa and VKV- Ziro rushed to help the fire victims of Banderdewa and Hija village by donating money, clothes and rice.
'Harmony' Vol.II, The Annual Magazine of VKV Ziro was released on 15th March 2012 by Smty Nila Mohanan, Deputy Commissioner, Lower Subansiri District. She appreciated VKVs for selfless work. In her address she said lot of officers of Arunachal Pradesh either from VKV, RKM or Sharda Mission. No one can forget the contribution of these Institutions. They are playing pivotal role in the field of education. She appealed to students to be become good citizens of our Motherland. She stressed that students should inculcate good habits and character. At the time of releasing Sri Yachang Tacho, Editor , "The Subansiri" newspaper was also present.

Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti has organized workshop “Pariksha De Hastein Hastein Cum Career Counselling” for the students of D. N .G. College on 28 Feb to 03 March, The five day workshop was aimed at preparing the students physically, mentally and psychologically fit for facing the examinations confidently and coolly, It dealt with various elements related to exams.
Mothers, with a smiling wrinkled face, celebrated the mothers’ Day in a fabulous way. The celebration started at 1.00 pm with various competitions like Rangoli, cooking, Chanting Gita Slokas, making things from waste materials, Musical chair, shot put and blouring ballooms, in which the mothers took part very enthusiastically.
Mothers’ Day was celebrated in a grand way in our school on 18.02.2012. Smt. Gomathy, Managing Director of Mag Gas, Vallioor & Mrs. Tamilselvi, Lecturer (English Dept) in TDMNS college, Kallikulam were the chief guests for the function. Mrs. Tamilselvi highlighted in her address to the gathering, the greatness of the children as well as their duties towards bringing up the children as good citizens. Nearly 85 mothers participated in the celebrations. Different competitions were conducted for the mothers and winners were honoured.
Vivekananda Kendra, Arun Jyoti Pasighat branch have conducted One Day Personality Development Camp at GTC Gangging, Pasighat. 26 students delightfully participated in this camp. SahaNagar Pramukh Dana Moyong (Agriculture officer, Pasighat ) was the chief guest, he told the students to follow the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. The main motto of this camp was to develop personality and to unfold the real potential within them, which is present in each soul as said by Swami Vivekananda. Students were inspired by the ideas of Swami Vivekananda to have faith in self & be fearless. Students enjoyed singing the patriotic song, Yoga, Games, group discussion “Role of youth towards India”, Exhibition “Samartha Bharat Prava” Quiz Competition on SBP.
Under the leadership of Vivekananda Kendra Prasar Vibhag, Tezpur, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Umrangso hosted a Career Counselling Session for class XII students of the school and the locality at its premises on 6 Feb’ 2012. The expert counsellors from Sree Saraswati Thygaraja College (STC), Pollachi, Tamilnadu, conducted a three-hour long interactive session with the students on the ways and means of identifying one’s potential interest and skills in various areas of learning and works.
