Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, Jigani Niyojit Nagarsthan, inaugurated a new Samskara Varga at the Durga Devi temple in Jigani on Sunday, 22nd October 2023. This event coincided with the auspicious Navarathri festival and a drawing competition was also conducted for the children. A total of 16 children participated in the Samskarvarga and drawing competition, with the presence of 5 elders.
As a part of Navaratri celebration, students chanted the Mahishasura Mardhini Stotra and sang Devi Bhajans. The varga concluded with the Shanti mantra. The elders present appreciated the activities of our students and granted permission to conduct Samskara Varga in the temple every Sunday morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Prasad was also distributed to all attendees.
