Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, VKV Kallubalu, celebrated Krishna Jayanti at Sri dharmaraya Swamy Temple in Jigani on 6th September, 2023. The event witnessed a gathering of over 600 people, including the Headmistress and students from S.R.S. Vidya Mandira, Jigani who actively participated.
The program commenced with a prayer, followed by a series of cultural performances. The primary school kids presented a dance on Sri Krishna, while the kindergarten kids portrayed Sri Vishnu's Dashavatharam. The high school students from VKV Kallubalu put on a vibrant and captivating drama.
Additionally, approximately 80 kids from Jigani dressed up as Radha and Krishna, adding to the festive atmosphere. The joyous moment of the day was the curd pot breaking ceremony. On that auspicious occasion, the organizing team tied Rakhis to 400 people. To show appreciation, all the participants were presented with tokens of remembrance by the organizing team. The event concluded with Shanti mantra, followed by the distribution of Prasad to all.
The program received widespread acclaim from the attendees. It was grandly organized by Shri Nagesh Ji, Vyavastha Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Prakalpa Samiti.
