Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Kerala Vibhag, Thiruvananthapuram Branch, celebrated Gita Jayanti on 15th December 2024 at the Kendra Karyalaya in Chitra Nagar, Vattiyoorkavu. The event, held from 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., witnessed the participation of 26 people.
The celebration began with the Shantipat. Adarneeya Shri Ajikumar Ji was introduced to the audience. A brief overview of Vivekananda Kendra’s activities was provided, along with an explanation of the five Utsavas celebrated by the Kendra. The children of Janaka Janani Krupa Gurukulam added to the spiritual ambiance by chanting the 12th Chapter of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.
In his address, Shri Ajikumar Ji spoke on the importance of the Bhagavad Gita in daily life. He highlighted how the Gita strengthens individuals physically, mentally, and intellectually. He further explained that it teaches the significance of one’s duties and how performing them with Shraddha brings immense strength.
The programme concluded with the Shanti Mantra, followed by the distribution of Prasada to all participants.
