Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Kerala Vibhag, Guruvayur Branch celebrated Gita Jayanti at the Thachappully family temple in Engandiyur on 16th December 2024, from 10.30 a.m. to 11.10 a.m. A total of 36 people participated in the event.
The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Smt. Sarala Janardanan, a senior member of the Thachappully family. Adaraneeya Sri Raghunathan Nair K.P. Ji, a Jeevan-vrati karyakarta of Vivekananda Kendra, was introduced to the participants by Sri Jyothivas Ji, Karyastan Sanyojak.
Sri Raghunathan Ji delivered an insightful introduction to the ‘Amrita Parivar’ concept of Vivekananda Kendra, drawing references from the Bhagavad Gita and Mahabharata. He emphasized the vital role of parents in nurturing children and highlighted the duties and responsibilities of individuals towards their families and society. The audience appreciated the ideas shared and expressed their willingness to organize similar Amrita Parivar programs in the future.
The event concluded with the recitation of the Shanti Mantra.
