Parents’ workshop:VKV Itanagar, Nirjuli, Vivek Vihar and Yazali have conducted one day workshop for parents of the newly admitted children in KG/Class I on 22,23,24 & 26th June respectively. The workshop was meant to orient the parents about the functioning of the school, role of parents in the overall development of the child, tips for Good parenting, the vision and mission of Vivekananda Kendra & starting of VKVs in Arunachal Pradesh etc.

Varshik Baithak
Varshik Baithak of VK Arunachal Prant was conducted on 30th June at VKV- Nirjuli. Two members from School level Swami Vivekananda Sardha Shati Samaroh (SVSSS) Ayojan Samiti, the Nagar Level Sanghataks and other important Karyakartas attended the Varshik Baithak. All the cluster- in- charges of VKVs APT were present in the meeting. Mananeeya Nivedita Didi, Vice President of Vivekananda Kendra and Shri. Pravin Dabholkar, Joint General Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra were present in the meeting. The main focus was to take the stock of activities conducted in the SVSSS and planning for the coming days to create an everlasting impact in the society to re-construct this glorious Bharat.
CCE workshop conducted in VKV- Kuporijo
It is always expected that the participants of various training programmes go back to their respective schools and train other teachers so that the entire school will be benefited. Shri. A.Krishnan, Principal, VKV Kuporijo, Sri Ashis Chatterjee and C.B. Chetry, teachers of the same school, after attending the workshop at Itanagar conducted by CBSE, organised a workshop for their colleagues to share the learning points with all the members.
Training in Disaster Management in Nirjuli and Itanagar
An Awareness Program on Disaster Management was conducted by the members of F-3 team 1st BN NDRF, staff of DMDA, Doimukh on 12th of June. Altogether 550 students from VI to X participated in the program. Demonstrations of various sorts, related to Disaster Management were performed by the Resource persons as well as students. Video clips on disaster management were also shown to the students. Same program was also conducted at VKV Itanagar. The program facilitated the understanding of Disaster Management which is an important concern of today’s existence.
Core committee meeting at Dibrugarh
A core group meeting was conducted at VKVAPT on 16th and 17th June, 2013. All the cluster- in- charges and administrative committee members attended the meeting. The activities planned at VKVAPT- Level, Principals’ meet, ways to improve the infrastructure and result of class X & XII were the important points discussed in the meeting.
Principals’ Meet a brief report
The first Principals’ Meet for the session 2013-14 was convened at VKVAP Trust, Dibrugarh, from 1st to 3rd July. All the Principals from 33 VKVs of Arunachal Pradesh and a Vice- Principal attended the Meet. The presence of all the Principals despite the terrible road condition only confirms the sincerity of all. Su B. Radha Devi, Joint Secretary, VKVAPT introduced everyone and accorded a warm welcome to all in the opening session. The Meet was graced by Kendra Elders like Mananeeya Nivedita Didi, Vice President of Vivekananda Kendra, Shri. Pravin Dabholkar, Joint General Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra and Sri.Rupesh Mathur, Pranta Sanghatak, Arunachal Prant. In addition to them, Dr. Joram Begi, the Director of Higher and Technical Education and Prant Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra, Arunachal Pradesh Prant also illuminated the Participants. Sri Pravinji urged everyone to get involved wholeheartedly in the celebration of SVSSS in order to leave inerasable imprints on the consciousness of the people. He also made cognizant that the following year (2014-15), being the Centenary year of Swargeeya Eknathji Ranade, the founder of Vivekananda Kendra will be celebrated in the most striking manner. Su Nivedita Didi took sessions on ‘Dheya Marga’, ‘Wake up Bharat –Enlighten the World’ and ‘Inculcation of staunch patriotism and Indigenous faith’. In all her deliberations she insisted on revisiting our goals and thereby refurbishing our task of man making and nation building. Sri.Rupeshji elaborated upon Swami Vivekananda Sardha Shati Samaroh activities for coming 6 months. Dr. Joram Begiji dwelt on the topic ‘The present educational scenario of Arunachal Pradesh and the work before us’. He held that the responsibility of VKVs towards the redemption of the society of Arunachal Pradesh has been ever increasing. He also highlighted all the potentialities of VKV teachers and suggested that more schools should be upgraded to Higher Secondary level. In addition to these sessions, there were analysis of Class X and Class XII results and open discussion on academic excellence. Group Discussion on formulating Admission Policy for VKVAPT was also done. Sri P.M.Unnikrishnan, Education Officer, VKVAPT, took one session onEffective Delegation. Various dimensions for implementing CCE in the middle section from this current academic session were discussed with the principals. Dr.Tejum Padu, Trustee, VKVs APT, though was not physically present, sent his wishes and congratulations to the team for their good performance in the Cl.X & XII results and a purposeful academic session 2013-14.
