Vivekananda Kendra Assam Prant, Branch-Tinsukia organized one free eye camp on 2nd October 2015 at Sankardev Vidya Niketan of Makum in Tinsukia district. The camp was organized in collaboration with Lion K.K.Saharia Eye Hospital of Dibrugarh.
Vivekananda Kendra is Spiritually Oriented Service organization working throughout the country since 1972 with an aim of Man making-Nation building. Since inception we are working in the Northeast.
The Principal of the Vidyalaya, Sri Ramesan P.V., who has completed 25 years in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas, been awarded the prestigious National Award for teachers 2014 by the Govt. of India for his meritorious service throughout his teaching career on 5 th Sept 2015.
On 20th September, Vimarsha was organized on the topic - Service in Worship at Rastriya Hindi Pustakalaya at Tinsukia. Vimarsha was started at 3:30 pm with vedic chanting and ended at 5pm. There were 33 people attended the program.
Various yoga satra were organized at Tinsukia. August 9th to 18th, yoga satra was organized Parbatiya behind Tinsukia Collage. There were total 12 participants in the yoga satra. Now weekly yoga varga is running at this place.
Vivekananda Kendra Assam Prant, branch-Tinsukia, organized one Medical Camp at Jhinga Basti of Tinsukia district of Assam on 13th September. A total 216 patients were examined in the camp and free medicines were distributed accordingly.
