Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Uttar Prant, Delhi Branch, organized a Vimarsh on the occasion of Universal Brotherhood Day at the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF), New Delhi. The programme witnessed the participation of around 60 Karyakartas representing more than 10 institutions.
Dr. Anirban Ganguly Ji, Chairman, Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation, graced the programme as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Snehlata Ji, Uttar Prant Sah Sanchalika, Vivekananda Kendra was present as the Distinguished Guest.
The Vimarsh focused on Swami Vivekananda’s role as Bharat’s spiritual ambassador to the West and the continuing relevance of his message of Universal Brotherhood in contemporary times. The discussions highlighted Swamiji’s vision of the oneness of humanity and its significance in building harmony and mutual understanding in society.
A discussion on Mananeeya Nivedita Didi’s letter on Universal Brotherhood Day was moderated by Ms. Priyadarshini Didi, Academic Head, VK Delhi, providing the participants an opportunity to reflect on its key messages and relevance.
The Vimarsh provided a meaningful platform for reflection, dialogue and collective understanding of Swami Vivekananda’s timeless vision and teachings, while strengthening the participants’ understanding of the spirit of Universal Brotherhood.
