Swami Vivekananda, after wandering across Bharat, reached Kanyakumari and began a three-day meditation on Bharat, seated on the mid-sea rock, on 25th December 1892. To commemorate this historic moment, Vivekananda Kendra celebrates the period from 25th December to 12th January, culminating in Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, as Samartha Bharat Parva, celebrating the strength and glory of Bharat.
Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, Mysore Branch, Hanumanalu Karyasthan, celebrated Samartha Bharat Parva daily from 25th December 2024 to 12th January 2025 at Shree Sharada Shikshana Samste, Hanumanalu. A total of 350 students and 25 teachers participated actively throughout the celebration.
The program began on 25th December, inaugurated by Sri Siddegowdaji, Sanyojak of Hanumanalu Karyasthan. Sri Srinivas, Aanandalaya Sanyojak, spoke about the importance of Swami Vivekananda’s meditation at Kanyakumari.

The celebration concluded on 12th January 2025 with the celebration of National Youth Day and Swami Vivekananda Jayanti. Prof. G. A. Chandrashekarji presided over the program and addressed the participants, focusing on the importance of Swami Vivekananda's teachings in today’s world.
