Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Uttar Prant, Paschim Delhi Vibhag, Janakpuri Nagar organized the 'Run for Universal Brotherhood Day 2023' program at the DDA Sports Complex in Dwarka, resonating with the spirit of universal brotherhood on September 23, 2023.
The event gathered over 1700 participants, including more than 140 specially-abled children, emphasizing the values of unity, peace, and harmony.
The event commenced with the chanting of three Omkars and Shanti pat, followed by cultural performances, setting an inspiring tone for the day. Dr. Mallika Nadda, the Chairperson of Special Olympics Bharat, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour and flagged off the run, symbolizing a collective journey towards a more unified world. During the event, Dr. Mallika Nadda also shared a personal connection with Vivekananda Kendra, highlighting her father's association with Mananeeya Sri Eknathji Ranade, the Founder of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari. The event garnered media attention also, with DD News providing coverage and reporting on the program.
Over 100 dedicated volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure the event's success, contributing significantly to its seamless execution.
