On the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi & National Youth Day 2021, Vivekananda Kendra Madurai organised various programs at all the three Karyalayas at T.V.S. Nagar, Balaji Nagar and Chokkikulam.
On 11.01.21, a special lecture program was organised at Balaji Nagar karyalaya (Murugan Vistar) from 6.15 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. in which 95 people participated. Shri. A. Saravanakumar Ji, Kendra Karyakartha shared inspiring incidents from the life of Swami Vivekananda and insisted upon the importance of Swami Vivekananda’s message to Bharat.
On 12.01.21 morning, VK Madurai arranged for the public pushpanjali to Swami Vivekananda at 17 places (including Karyalayas) in and around the karyavistars of VK Madurai. In all those places, public did pushpanjali to Swamiji with utmost reverence and devotion.
On the same day, a special lecture program was held at Chokkikulam Karyalaya from 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. in which Pujya Swami Tatprabhananda Maharaj, Ramakrishna Math Madurai graced the occasion with his presence and delivered a special lecture on the topic ‘Samartha Bharat’ and also blessed all. Total number of 28 people participated in the program.
On the same evening, a program was held at T.V.S. Nagar from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in which 80 people participated. As a part of the program, children came disguised as Swami Vivekananda and inspiring characters from Ramayana & Mahabharata presented inspiring quotes of Swamiji and their respective characters. Shri. Parthasarathy Ji, Advocate, Director of Madura College Board delivered Asirvachan and blessed the children. Shri. Saravanakumar Ji, Kendra Karyakartha spoke about the relevance of Swamiji’s message to the present context. All the Children who participated were presented with books on Swami Vivekananda and were encouraged to take part in Samskarvarga and Anandalaya.
