Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, Anandalaya Prakalp celebrated Karthika Masa Deepa Puja at 11 Anandalayas in Karnataka Vibhag.
Karthika Masa Deepa Puja is a significant religious observance celebrated during the month of Karthika in many parts of Bharat. This month is considered highly auspicious in Hinduism, and the Deepa Puja involves the lighting of lamps, symbolizing the body (diya) and the soul (light). The ritual is believed to dispel negativity and illuminate the path to spiritual awakening.
The Deepa Puja celebrations witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, and teachers. At Hanumanalu, five Anandalayas joined together for a grand ceremony led by Smt. Tanuja, where 230 participants, including parents, performed the puja with great fervor. In Beedanahalli, the Anandalaya acharya Kum. Meghana led the ceremony with 30 Anandalaya students participating wholeheartedly. At Attahalli, 35 students, guided by their acharya Smt. Chaitra, performed the puja with devotion. Similarly, in Madagahalli, Kum. Pallavi conducted the puja, with 25 students taking part in the sacred observance.
In Hubli, the ceremony was organized by Smt. Vijayalaxmi, with 20 children actively participating. The Anandalayas of Hosahalli and Mangala combined their efforts for the puja, led by Smt. Pallavi, and 30 students took part in the celebration. At Ajjampura, Kum. Supriya guided the event, where 20 students participated with enthusiasm, reflecting the spiritual significance of the occasion.
The Karthika Masa Deepa Puja was celebrated across 11 Anandalayas of Karnataka Vibhag, with a total of 390 participants performing the Deepa Puja with wholehearted devotion. The celebration highlighted the importance of cultural and spiritual traditions in nurturing values among the children.
