International Day of Yoga is celebrated with enthusiasm by all the branch centers of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari across Bharat. Through these celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra aims to bring Yoga to the general public in its true essence, i.e., Yoga as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.
This year, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Madhya Prant organized International Day of Yoga programs at 52 places in Madhya Pradesh, with a total participation of 2,374 people. The vibhag-wise details are as follow:
- Chhattisgarh Vibhag: 17 places, 487 participants
- Indore Vibhag: 6 places, 425 participants
- Bhopal Vibhag: 12 places, 459 participants
- Jabalpur Vibhag: 6 places, 316 participants
- Gwalior Vibhag: 11 places, 714 participants
The programs were conducted in the institutions and public places engaging people from all walks of life. All participants actively joined in, practicing Yogasanas and Pranayama as per the International Day of Yoga protocol.
