International Day of Yoga is celebrated with enthusiasm by all the branch centers of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari across Bharat. Through these celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra aims to bring Yoga to the general public in its true essence, i.e., Yoga as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.
This year, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Bihar-Jharkhand Prant organized International Day of Yoga programs at 40 places in Bihar and Jharkhand, with a total participation of 3,456 people. For organizing these programs, 93 Kendra Karyakarthas were involved. The details of programs branch-wise/Karyasthan-wise/Prakalpa-wise are given below:
- Ranchi: 4 places, 486 participants
- Chandil: 9 places, 1400 participants
- Bhagalpur: 10 places, 604 participants
- Gauripur: 2 places, 45 participants
- Purnea: 1 place, 105 participants
- Begusarai: 2 places, 183 participants
- Kahalgaon: 1 place, 47 participants
- Patna: 6 places, 331 participants
- Jehanabad: 1 place, 18 participants
- Mujaffarpur: 1 place, 11 participants
- Gaya: 2 places, 226 participants
The programs were conducted in various institutions and public places, engaging people from all walks of life. All participants actively joined in, practicing Yogasanas and Pranayama as per the International Day of Yoga protocol.
