Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, West Bengal Prant, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Rangat, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with patriotic fervor on 26th January 2025 at the school premises.
The school campus was beautifully decorated with flowers and national flags, creating a festive atmosphere. The celebration commenced with a Prabhat Feri (morning procession), during which the surroundings resonated with patriotic slogans.
The event formally began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal, Shri Ch. Shanmuga Rao ji, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem. Kum. Diti Sahay of Class V delivered a wonderful speech, which was followed by the collective singing of Bharat Mata Aarati.
Next, Kumari Archana of Class VII presented a speech on Republic Day, which was followed by an inspiring address by Shri Sumit Kumar Sarkar, one of the school’s teachers. The Head of Institution (HoI), Shri Ch. Shanmuga Rao ji, spoke about the importance of Republic Day, urging the students to remember the sacrifices of the great souls and to uphold the values of patriotism.
The program concluded with the distribution of sweets. In total, 200 people attended and witnessed the event, which was marked by great enthusiasm and a sense of national pride.
