TO commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of “Swami Vivekananda Sardh Shati Samaroh Samiti’’ (SVSSSS) organised a unique two-day National Conference of Vice Chancellors on ‘Swami Vivekananda on Education – Vision for National Resurgence’ om November 16 & 17 in New Delhi. The two-day conference was attended by Vice-Chancellors, Chancellors and Directors of Central, State, deemed and private universities and various renowned educationists from all over the country. The motive of the conference was to discuss the ways of implementing Swamiji’s vision for education.

On 17th November 2013 VKV Golaghat organized a Grand Parents Shibir on the occassion of Sardha Shati Samaroha where 180 grand parents were present. The mass run was organized in all the VKVs and Branch Centers of VK with great enthusiasm. The school level Ayojan Samitis have not left any stone unturned for organizing the event in the most spectacular manner. The grand event aimed toinculcate the spirit of responsibility amongst youth towards our society and the country. The youth were appealed to study the messages of the youth icon of our country and run forward. The mesmerizing messages were kept in front of them before flagging of the mass run.

Kishori Shibir was held in VKV, Tezpur on 1.11.2013. The purpose of the shibir was the all round development of the adolescent girls.
