On 1st August 2013 at around 1 pm our Regional Administrative Officer, Shri Kamalakant Baliarsingha sir rang me and informed that in Barpeta one science workshop had been arranged on 3rd August and I need to take the initiative for the same.

SAMARTHA Karyashala conducted on 27th July 2013 for the faculties of Vivekananda college, by VKK Nagerkoil.  The Resource Person was Aa Krishnaswamiji.  86 faculties were there.

Vivekananda Kendra Kanniyakumari - Nagerkoil Branch Centre organised  7 days YOGA SATRA  at Hindu College on 26th July 2013.  The sessions were taken by Aa. Krishnaswamiji, Life Worker.  There were Seventy Participants.  It was inauguarated by Swa. Chaitanyanandaji, Vellimalai Ashram.  By following up of Yoga Satra, Yoga Varga has started .

The twin festivals Gokulashtami and Rakshabandhan  were celebrated with an intense fervour on 27th August in our school. The festival ceremony started at 11.00 a.m. in the presence of Mrs. Janaki Pushpam,  Dist  Incharge, RDP, Vivekananda Kendra.  The programme was started by prayer song. One of our teacher    Mrs.

The Swami Vivekananda Sardh Sati Samaroh Samiti (150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda) of West Kameng district recently organized two mega medical camps. On 21st the camp was organized at Manla Phudung Middle school, where 194 patients were treated and free medicines were distributed.

67th Independence day was celebrated at Anandandham, Kodugallur with unfurling of the National flag by Mananiya Laxmididi. Sandipani Sushuvihar Children, their parents, Samskar Varg Children and their inmates of Anandadham were present. Concluded with National anthem.

1.“Sri Rama Jaya Rama” Mantra was chanted during Deepa Pooja, Shivalinga Pooja and daily by our Balwadi school children, cultural class students and during monthly meetings by our Balwadi teachers and Social Workers. Every month nearly 5, 29,076 times mantras were chanted in 84 localities.

2. Through 73 Balwadis, 1,782 rural Children were nurtured. In all the Balwadis, Malt along with hygienically prepared highly nutritive lunch with vegetables was served during the day. And in the evening vitamin-rich cereals were provided to the children.

All India Spiritual Retreat was held in Vivekanandapuram, Kanyakumari from 8-14 August 2013. This being Swami Vivekananda’s 150th Birth Anniversary year, this Retreat had a special significance.

“Unity in diversity” is the special feature of our Country.  On 15th August 1947, India attained freedom from the British rule.  So the Independence Day is therefore celebrated with great rejoicing all over the Country.  On this special occasion, rich tributes are paid to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives and fought to free our mother land from the clutches of shook off the shackles of British rule a

14th अगस्त 2013, बुधवार : शिमला : विवेकानन्द केन्द्र कन्याकुमारी, शाखा शिमला एवं  भाषा एवं संस्कृति विभाग, हिमाचल प्रदेश के तत्वावधानमें  "स्वामी विवेकानन्द के विचारों की प्रासांगीकता आज भी" विषय पर आज हिमाचल स्टेट संग्रहालय के सभागृहमें  माननीय रेखादीदी, संयुक्त महासचिव, विवेकानन्द केन्द्र कन्याकुमारी द्वारा प्रवचन दिया गया।

Pooja with Deep yajna was organised on 10th August 2013 by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakuamari' kartalaya in Panchkula, Haryana. 15 karyakartas and wellwishers were present including Mananeeya Kishorji and Mananeeya Rekhadidi abd also Shri. Bharat Bhushan ji, Sachiv, SVSSS Samiti, Haryana.

Independence Day was celebrated in a grand manner on 15.08.2013. Shri. Hariharan,  Manager,  Canara  Bank,  Vallioor  hoisted our National flag and delivered an inspiring speech on patriotism.   Shri. Ayyappan, Secretary of RDP,  was the special guest.  Varieties of cultural programmes which reflected the theme of patriotism and our heritage made the function a successful one.

A remark from a nine year old newly admitted hosteller of a winter vacation school appeared to be a bolt from the blue, making me contemplative.

Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti conducted two Medical Camps in Lazu circle of Tirap district recently. On 13th August the camp was organized at Barap, where the patients from Sinnu, Raho, Longliang ,Langchen  and Barap were examined and free medicines were distributed among the patients. The number of patients were 128. On 14th August 69 patients were examined at Pongkong village and medicines were distributed.

ITANAGAR, Aug 11: Swami Vivekananda Sardha Shati Samaroh Samiti of VKV Kuporijo organized a seminar on the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s thoughts in today’s context to commemorate his 150th birth anniversary at VKV Kuporijo yesterday.

Vivekananda Kendra is a thought movement, a spiritually oriented service mission. Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti has organized “TEJAS” A PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP” for the Students of class VIII to X of Sec. School, Rajiv Gandhi University Campus, Doimukh on 3rd August 2013. The programme was inaugurated by Shri Lobsang Tashi Thungon, VKAJ Yuva Manch Pramukh, Shergon.
