Vivekananda Kendra NRL Hospital Newsletter Month of April-June 2014

In a forest, a pregnant deer is about to give birth. She finds a remote grass field near a strong-flowing river. This seems a safe place. Suddenly labor pain begins. At the same moment, dark clouds gather around above and lightning starts a forest fire. She looks to her left and sees a hunter with his extended bow pointing at her. To her right, she spots a hungry lion approaching her. What can the pregnant deer do? She is in labor! What will happen? Will the deer survive? Will she give birth to a fawn? Will the fawn survive? Or will everything be burnt by the forest fire?

On 15th September 2014, Sri Krishna Jayanthi was celebrated at Anandadham (School is running by Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation) in a grand way, this year. Twenty three children participated.

The Mobile Medical Team of Vivekananda Kendra recently conducted medical camps in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

As part of the 'Green Rameshwaram' project we have been able to bring smiles and light into the hamlets of Danushkodi with solar power installations. Sponsored by BrahMos Aerospace the project has not only lighted up the individual houses of the hamlet but also the community commons including the panchayat school and street lights in the area. The renewable energy installations is a short in the arm of the Green Rameshwaram project. Along with this we have also conducted a meeting of the special interest groups with the District Collector Sri.Nanthakumar IAS.

On August 15, the 68th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our school. At 8 am, we all assembled in the Assembly hall and the flag was hoisted by our honourable Principal, followed by National Anthem and Principal’s inspiring speech. Patriotic Song  ’Jai Jai Bharat’ and Action Song were performed by our students.
