Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti recently organized a few free medical camps in Changlang and Lohit districts of Arunachal Pradesh. A total nine camps were organized in Kharsang, Miao, Bordumsa, Diyun and Mahadevpur circle.

Vivekananda Kendra is celebrating the Birth Centenary year of the founder Ma. Eknathji, who is the Spirit behind the mid-sea National Monument Vivekananda Rock Memorial. The year long program Mananeeya Eknathji Janma Shati Parva has aim to strengthen the work in terms of Qualitative & Quantitative area. Vivekananda Kendra is a thought movement as envisaged by Ma. Eknathji, having various magazine in 6 languages.

Vivekananda Kendra, Assam Prant in association with Robin Banerjee Trust and Lion Eye Hospital, Jorhat conducted one Eye Screening camp at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya on 6th August 2015. The camp was inaugurated by Dr.Prema, a senior doctor from Mumbai.

On 1st Aug 2015 teachers and students of VKV Kallubalu performed cleaning activity in Kallubalu village.

Vivekananda Kendra, Branch-Tinsukia, Assam organized some free medical camps in Dibrugarh and Tinsukia districts of Assam. On 28th and 29th two camps were organized at Tingrai Balijan and Tingrai Borhola.

1 “Sri Rama Jaya Rama” Mantra was chanted during Deepa Pooja, Shivalinga Pooja and daily by our Balwadi school children, cultural class students and during monthly meetings by our Balwadi teachers and Social Workers.

Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti recently conducted free medical camps in Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh. On 19th July the team organized camp at Niaunu village in collaboration with All Niaunu Student Association (ANSA).

Vivekananda Kendra Nagdandi Kashmir organised a week long Science workshop for the students of class VI to XII of various schools of Anantnag Dist along with the collaboration of Gyan Setu, Pune.

This month newsletter we give you a bird's eye view of the endangered shells of the Gulf of Mannar area - of which Rameswaram is a part. This is in continuation with our green Rameswaram series on bio-diversity of the region. Apart from the shells or the molluscan species the coral reef also play a very crucial role in the safeguarding of the marine fish populations. It has been documented that in this biodiversity hot-spot fishes belonging to 27 families and 50 species live.
