कन्याकुमारी । भारतमाता के प्रति अगाध प्रेम को संस्कार वर्ग के माध्यम से प्रगट करने वाले विवेकानन्द केन्द्र के बाल-तरूण कार्यकर्ताओं का शिविर हाल ही में दिनांक २३ से २९ मई को सम्पन्न हुआ । इस अखिल भारतीय संस्कार वर्ग प्रशिक्षण शिविर में ६४ भाई तथा ५२ बहनें, इस प्रकार कुल ११६ शिविरार्थी देश के विभिन्न राज्यों से सहभागी हुए ।
Like every year, VK Kanyakumari conducted Yoga Shibir from 5th May to 19 May 2012 at its Training Centre. 59 participants from all over India participated in the Shibir. There were also participants from Australia and Germany.

The RDP (Rural Development Programme) wing of Vivekananda Kendra organises various regular activities as well as special activities. Following is the list of activities undertaken during the above period.
15/7/2011 Guru Purnima was celebrated by conducting a Havan. Sri Nandlal Verma, Sanyojak was the Yajaman. Sri Mansaram Gautam was the chief priest. It was attended by around 30 persons.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam is constructing a shrine for Lord Venkateswara in the campus of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari.
If everything goes according to plans, this temple which will come up in Kanyakumari on the land donated by Vivekananda Kendra will be a “twin” of the famous temple in Tirupati, albeit smaller in size, replicating all the paraphernalia and the rituals followed in Tirupati.
Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari has adopted the new environmentally friendly technology of “Plastic Roads”. Of over 3.5 km of roads of Vivekanandapuram campus – the Head-Quarter of Vivekananda Kendra at Kanyakumari - about 1 km is now “Plastic Road".
Parama Poojaniya Sri Gurui Purasakar given to Vivekananda Kendra for its work in "Samaj Prabodhan" by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Jankalyan Samiti Maharashtra Prant on 19 February 2012. Some of the photos. For this some of Pranta Adhikaris of Maharashtra and from Aurnagabad were also present.
Mothers, with a smiling wrinkled face, celebrated the mothers’ Day in a fabulous way. The celebration started at 1.00 pm with various competitions like Rangoli, cooking, Chanting Gita Slokas, making things from waste materials, Musical chair, shot put and blouring ballooms, in which the mothers took part very enthusiastically.
