Universal Brotherhood Day, celebrated annually on September 11, commemorates the profound message of Universal Brotherhood delivered by Swami Vivekananda at the Parliament of Religions in Chicago on September 11, 1893. It is one of the five Utsavas celebrated by Vivekananda Kendra across all its branches in Bharat.
Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Maharashtra Prant, Kokan Vibhag, Thane Branch celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day at Brahman Seva Sangh, Naupada, Thane, on September 16, 2024. The program was attended by more than 45 people, including patrons, well-wishers, and karyakartas.
Smt. Vrinda Tilak presided over the event, offering thoughtful insights into Swami Vivekananda’s message of universal brotherhood and its continuing relevance today. She emphasized the importance of studying Swami Vivekananda’s works and applying his teachings in our daily lives.
