Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Assam Prant, held the Lokarpan Ceremony of Anandalaya Bhawan on 27th January 2025 in Dibrugarh. The Honorable Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, inaugurated the Bhawan in the presence of Mananeeya Shri A. Balakrishnan Ji, All India President of Vivekananda Rock Memorial & Vivekananda Kendra (VRM & VK).
During the ceremony, the Murti of Swami Vivekananda was present, marking the beginning of a significant journey. On 28th January 2025, the Murti started on its Yatra from Anandalaya Bhawan, Dibrugarh, towards Kaho, the first village of Bharat, located in Kibithoo Circle, Anjaw District, Arunachal Pradesh.
The Vision Behind the Yatra
The inspiration for this journey originated three years ago when Kendra Karyakartas visited Kaho. The residents of Kaho Basti expressed their desire to have Swami Vivekananda’s presence in their village, just as he is present at the southernmost tip of Bharat (Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Kanyakumari). Their vision was to have Swami Ji symbolically embracing Bharat from both its southern and northeastern boundaries.
Swami Vivekananda Yatra Begins
With this vision, Vivekananda Kendra, Arunachal Prant, organized the “Swami Vivekananda Yatra”, which commenced on 28th January 2025, carrying the Murti to Kaho. The Yatra was inaugurated with Aarti and blessings from well-wishers and Karyakartas. Over 35 Karyakartas participated in the inauguration ceremony.
As the Yatra progressed, it received a warm welcome from VKVAPT Office Karyakartas in Dibrugarh, where more than 25 Karyakartas joined in the celebrations. The yatra will conclude in Kaho on 31st January 2025, fulfilling the vision of placing Swami Vivekananda’s Murti at the first village of Bharat, signifying his eternal guidance and inspiration for the entire nation.
