Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Tamil Nadu Vibhag, Vivekananda Kendra Rural Development Programme, Kovilpatti Branch, on the occasion of Sadhana Diwas, organized Cultural Competitions for Samskarvarga students on November 19, 2023. The event, held at Sivagiri Senaithalaivar Higher Secondary School in Vasudevanallur, Tenkasi, saw enthusiastic participation from 110 students from six Samskarvargas – Kumarapuram, Sivagiri, Devipattanam, Malayadikurichi, Duraichamipuram, and Varakunaramapuram.
The Secretary of VK-RDP, Sri Ayyappan Ji, the Secretary of VK-RDP Kovilpatti Branch, Shri Paramaguru Ji, the Head Master of Ivai Pulipatti Panchayat Union Middle School, Shri Kamachi, and the school’s secretary, Shri Thangeswaran, graced the event with their presence.
The competitions encompassed diverse cultural activities such as drama, speech, group singing, solo acting, and divine scenes, allowing participants to showcase their talents. The owner of Subbiah Pillai Sweet Stall in Sivagiri generously arranged lunch for the students. Books were presented as prizes to the winning participants, adding a touch of encouragement and recognition for their achievements. Along with the students, Kendra Well-wishers, karykarthas and parents were also present during the event.
