Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Kerala Vibhag, Guruvayur Branch, conducted a one-day Personality Development Workshop at Thirumangalam Upper Primary School, Engadiyur on 10th September, 2023. A total of 68 participants consisting of 52 students, 1 parent, 7 Nanma team members, and 8 Kendra Karyakartas took part in the workshop.
The workshop started with the lighting of the lamp and prayer. Dakshin Prant Sangathak, Aadharneeya Radha Devi Didi interacted with the children. Didi provided a brief introduction to the workshop and instructed the children in the basic Agnya abhyas, which proved to be helpful during the games session.
The children thoroughly enjoyed both the games and the discussions that followed. These activities enhanced their memory power, alertness, and teamwork skills. Additionally, they learned and performed a Hindi patriotic song with enthusiasm.
During a dedicated session on education, the concept of education was explored through interactive discussions. The session emphasized the five key aspects of education and their significance. This helped students evaluate their own education and understand what makes someone educated.
VK Guruvayur Karyakartas have plans for follow-up activities, including interactive sessions with the students at the Nanma Learning Centre in the future.
The written feedback received from the students was highly encouraging, shedding light on their specific needs and highlighting the success of the program.
