Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Tamil Nadu Vibhag, Chennai Branch, (Maharishi Patanjali Nagar - Central Chennai), commemorated National Youth Day on January 28, 2024, at Sri Sathya Pramodha Prarthana Mandir in Triplicane, Chennai.
The event, attended by over 100 enthusiastic participants, including Sanskara Varga students, parents, and well-wishers, was graced by Mananeeya Kum. Nivedita Bhide Didi, All India Vice President of VRM & VK, as the Chief Guest. The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Mananeeya Nivedita Didi, followed by an exceptional demonstration of Surya Namaskar by the Samskara Varga students.
During her address, Mananeeya Nivedita Didi shared insights into Swami Vivekananda's vision and recounted her personal experience of darshan in Sri Ram Mandir, Ayodhya. She also emphasized the profound relevance of the Ramayana for today's youth, inspiring the audience with timeless wisdom.
Prior to the main event, National Day competitions for children were held on January 21. The winners of these competitions were recognized and awarded certificates, books, and medals during the program.
