Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Kallubalu (Karnataka Prant), organized a soulful Matru Puja program on May 3, 2026, attended by 65 participants.
The event commenced at 9:00 a.m. with the sacred Agnihotra led by Mananeeya Lalita Didi, where parents actively joined the Havan, setting a spiritual tone for the day. At 10:10 a.m., the formal Matru Puja began, anchored by Smt. Pratima Didi. The session opened with a prayer, Vivekavani, and a welcoming address by Ms. Madhrushree Didi. The gathering was graced by Aadaraneeya Chandrakala Didi, a retired principal from Rashtrotthana, who served as the guest speaker. She eloquently detailed the significance of the Puja, portraying the mother as a divine figure whose patience and sacrifice merit the highest respect and daily Namaskara.
Followed by a Geet performed by Kum. Avani and her team. This sentiment was beautifully echoed through a dance performance by Kum. Elakshi and her team, depicting the bond between Yashoda and Krishna.
Adding to the discourse, Shri Ramesh Bhat ji highlighted how the Personality Development Camp nurtures children through art, sports, and literature, ultimately strengthening family bonds and cultural roots. Aadaraneeya Meera Didi further enriched the session by speaking on the mother's role in life and the broader Indian cultural value of respecting nature including water and trees as maternal entities to be protected.
The program reached its spiritual peak as parents participated in the Matru Puja rituals accompanied by shloka chanting led by Mananeeya Lalita Didi. The atmosphere was one of deep devotion and gratitude.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Smt. Anjali Didi, followed by the distribution of Prasadam.
