Vivekananda Kendra organized a 15 days Yoga Shiksha Sibir from 1st to 15th December- 2014. 70 people out of which 29 ladies and 41gents registered in the camp from 12 states named Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, West Bengal, Andhra, Telengana, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. Sibir started with evening prayer followed by introductory session on 30th November.
The participants were distributed into 7 ‘ganas’ (groups)- 4 in Hindi section named Saadhana, Safalata, Saarthakata, and Samskar and 3 in English section with names Seva, Samarpan and Sankalpa.
Subjects for lecture (theory) sessions were- Concept of Yoga, Four Yogas, Ashtaanga Yoga, Ananda Meemamsa, Bhagavad Gita, Swami Vivekananda, Eknathji, Kendra Prarthana, Story of Vivekananda Rock Memorial, VK- A Thought Movement, Kendra Activities, Challenges and Response and Mananeeya Eknathji Janma Shati Parva (MEJSP) all in Hindi and English simultaneously.
Practical sessions in Asanas, Pranayama, Surya Namaskar, Cyclic Meditation, Mudras, Omkar Dhyana, , Kriyas and Traataka were taken.
All Participants visited Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Different Exhibitions in our Campus and went to Maruthuvamalai.
Short films on Swami Vivekananda, Construction of Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Green Rameswaram Project were also shown.
In the State wise/ area wise meeting, there was discussion on how everybody can contribute by associating with Vivekananda Kendra Activities, especially in the Mananeeya Eknathji Janma Shati Parva (MEJSP) at least in their own areas. Many participants happily agreed to associate with their nearest Kendra Branch Centre.
The Sibir concluded on 15th December with Ma. Balakrishnanji’s udbodhan in the Aahuti Satra.
