Gokulashtami and Rakshabandhan Celebration at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Vallioor

The twin festivals Gokulashtami and Rakshabandhan  were celebrated with an intense fervour on 27th August in our school. The festival ceremony started at 11.00 a.m. in the presence of Mrs. Janaki Pushpam,  Dist  Incharge, RDP, Vivekananda Kendra.  The programme was started by prayer song. One of our teacher    Mrs. Mallika delivered a thought provoking lecture about  Krishna Jeyanthi and Rakshabandhan. On her speech she pointed out the greatness of Krishna avathar and how the relationship should be maintained between  brothers and sisters. Besides  the programmes our students chanted slogans from the Bhagavat geetha devotionally. Dance of Gobikas and Uriyadi by Lord  Krishna were very special .  Each class sisters and brothers were asked to tie the Racki rope during the function.      Mrs. Janaki pushpam  gave an oration about importance of function and advised the students to get the prosperous future by the  good manners. Parents were invited for the function. Nearly  25  parents have participated in our ceremony and enjoyed the function very well.  Finally celebration concluded by Kendra prayer.
