On the occassion of Swami Vivekananda's 150th Birth Anniversary Celebration, Karnataka Pranta Vijay Poorna Vijay is going on in different part of Karnataka.
Vivekananda Kendra Mengaluru organised a three days Residential Vijaya Poorna Vijaya Shibir for Netravati Mandal consist of Udupi and Gadag district from 26th to 29th January 2012.
In this shibir, 86 participants from 10 colleges of Udupi district namely Govt. First Grade College, Byndoor- Kundapura, Govt. First Grade College, Shankaranarayana- Kundapura, Govt. First Grade College, Hebri- Karkala, Rukmini Shedti Govt. First Grade College, Barkur- Kundapura, Sharada College, Basrur- Kundapura, Govt. First Grade College, Hiriadka- Udupi, Govt. First Grade College, Ajjarakadu - Udupi, A V Baliga College of Social Works, Brahmavara- Kundapura, Yuvaraja College, Mysore and Govt. First Grade College, Tenkkanidiyoor- Udupi and 1 college from Gadag district viz.A S S College of Commerce, Gadag students have been participated. 32 karyakarta’s from Mysore, Mangalore, Bangalore, Dharwad, Brahmavara involved in organisation of the shibir.
The shibir was inaguarated on 26th January 2012 evening by Poojaneeya Balakrishanji, Vice President, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari by lighting the lamp. Chief guest was Sri Namadeva Shenoy, Freedom fighter and presided by Sri Raghpathi Bhat, M L A Udupi. The shibir was concluded on 29th January with Ahuti satra. Ma. Nageshji, Shibir Adhikari, Dr. P V Bhandariji, Director of the A V Baliga Institution and Sri Jagadish Malgiji was present on this occasion.
Eminent speakers were invited on this occasion. Following Topics were discussed like, PunyaBhoomi Bharat –Sri Krishna Upadhaya of Sanskara Bharati, Swamiji as Role Model to the Youth by –Sri Adarsha Gokale, Man making and Nation Building by Sri. Jagadish Malgiji, Challenges and Responses by Poojaneeya Balakrishanji, Vice-President of Vivekananda Kendra. India’s contribution by Sri A. S. N Hebbar and Vivekananda Kendra Activities by Ma. Nageshji.
For group discussion participants discussed the different topics like Rashtrabhakthi, The relevance of Swamiji messages in Present situation and Bharatiya Sanskriti, Their contribution in Swamiji’s 150th birth anniversary and the same has been presented to all, which charged the entire atmosphere with patriotism.
