INSPIRING INCIDENTS
M. Sudha & Nisha Nandini, Idaichivillai, Thoothukudi district
From our Balwadi, we had gone into the village for collection of
rice. In one of the house, the landlady asked us about the Anna Pooja,
which we had explained in detail. She immediately said, “You need not go
door to door for collection of the rice. From our house we would
provide you with 10 Kgs of rice”. Though we accepted her offer, we told
her that the purpose of this is to involve everyone of this village in
this scheme, but this spontaneous gesture of hers made us feel happy.
N. Amuthalakshmi, Palayampatti, Virudunagar district
I had joined the balwadi as a teacher just a month back (August). I
had a different opinion for the service as a teacher. Here, I came
across a totally new environment. I had learnt as to how to handle a
child, how to move around and talk to new people and also how the
organization is involved in various service activities… etc. I feel
proud to be associated with this Kendra Balwadi.
