ITANAGAR, Dec 27: The Samarth Bharat Parva, an intellectual awareness program for students conducted by Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Itanagar kicked off on Monday at the school premises.
The basic objective of the program is to highlight India’s contribution to the world.
A two-week long lecture series, debate, quiz and pictorial exhibition will also be conducted during this period. Volunteers of Vivekananda Kendra informed that the Samartha Bharat Parva is celebrated in the memory of Swami Vivekanand’s meditation in Kanyakumari.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, the bureau chief of Hindustan Samachar Anand Misra spoke on India’s contribution to the world through specific information in the fields of religion, science, mathematics and medicine. He said the India is an emerging super power in the world and asked the students to take the responsibilities to make India grow faster in every field.
