On the occasion of Shri Rama Navami (21/04/21), Vivekananda Kendra Madurai organised bhajan sandyas at T.V.S. Nagar (Ram Vistar) and Balaji Nagar (Murugan Vistar) Karyalayas. Totally 26 karyakarthas were present.
On the occasion of Tamil Putthaandu (Tamil New year), Vivekananda Kendra Madurai organised an online bhajan sandhya on 14/04/2021 from 6.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Totally 25 people participated.
Vivekananda kendra Madurai celebrated Viveka Vijayam on 02/02/2021 at Balaji Nagar Karyalaya in which totally 70 people participated and Swami Tatprabhananda Ji Maharaj, Ramakrishna Math, Madurai delivered a special lecture.
On the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi & National Youth Day, Vivekananda Kendra Madurai organised various programs at all the three Karyalayas at T.V.S. Nagar, Balaji Nagar and Chokkikulam.
As a part of Samartha Bharat Parva celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Madurai organised an online lecture program for the students of N.M.S. Sermathai Vasan College for Women, on 11.01.2021 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Total number of 150 students attended the program.
On the occasion of Universal Brotherhood Day, Vivekananda Kendra Madurai organised Drawing and Elocution competitions for school students. The competitions were conducted online and 37 students from various districts of Tamil Nadu enthusiastically participated in the competitions.
28 Karyakarthas joined the Guru Purnima Celebrations of Vivekananda Kendra Madurai which was conducted online. Bhajan, Reading of Ma. Nivedita Didi’s letter, Discussion & Dayitwa grahan were part of the program.
Vivekananda Kendra Madurai celebrated International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2020. Yoga Abhyas, Pranayama (as per AAYUSH schedule) were part of the program and Ma. Nivedita Didi’s lecture on ‘Yoga – a way of life’ was translated into Tamil and broadcast.
As a part of COVID-19 Assistance, from 16.05.20 to 18.05.20, Vivekananda Kendra Madurai served food for corporation sanitation workers of Thiruparankundram and homeless people living around Thiruparankundram and Vel Murugan Nagar.
