During the auspicious month of Karthika Masa, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Vibhag organized a Temple Cleaning Seva on December 3, 2023. A dedicated team of 32 Kendra Karyakarthas actively engaged in this punya karya at Shri Nanjundeshwara Swami Temple in Doddanekundi, Bengaluru.
Karnataka Vibhag Pramukh Sri Prasad Anna, Vibhag Vyavasta Pramukh Sri Pradeep Anna, Vibhag Karyapaddati Pramukh Smt. Veena Akka, RT Nagar Pramukh Sri Bharath Anna and 15 Karyakartas from RT Nagar, Sri Jemin Anna from Marathahalli, Hebbal Nagar Pramukh Sri Chandra Anna, Hebbal Sah Nagar Pramukh Smt. Rajashri Akka and 10 well-wishers from Doddanekundi and other places participated in the temple cleaning activity.
The deep cleaning of the temple premises and all the pooja articles took around two and a half hours. Following the temple cleaning, a Bhajan Sandhya was conducted, filling the temple with wonderful positive vibrations. Post the Alpahar at the temple, all the Karyakartas gathered at Veena Akka’s house, where Sri. Prasad Anna addressed the gathering. He emphasized the significance of Nishkama Karma, highlighting ‘Cleanliness is Godliness’. Additionally, he discussed the importance of Amrit Parivar, the formation of Sankul, and its associated benefits.
A special mention was made for the RT Nagar Children, acknowledging their outstanding contribution to the cleaning activity. Their active participation and enthusiasm in meticulously cleaning every nook and corner of the temple were particularly praised, likening their energy to that of a spring.
