On the auspicious occasion of Gurupurnima, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, Hebbal Nagar, celebrated Gurupurnima at the Kendra karyalaya on the evening of 21st July 2024. Gurupurnima is one of the five Utsavas celebrated in Vivekananda Kendra. In Kendra, Omkara is regarded as the Guru, and every year, Gurupurnima is celebrated grandly by all branch centers of Vivekananda Kendra across Bharat.
In the programme held at the Hebbal Nagar branch, a large number of children participated. The children actively involved themselves in the events of the programme, which included Guru Stotram, cultural dances, and Bhajans. The children expressed their Guru Bhakti through these cultural performances and enjoyed participating in them. Prasadam was served to all attendees after the conclusion of the event. A total of 120 people attended the celebration.
