Vivekananda Rock Memorial was inaugurated on 2nd September 1970, exactly after 77years as per Indian Calendar of Swami Vivekananda's world famous address in World Parliament of Religion on 11th September 1893.

1. Through 75 Balwadis, 1,767 rural Children were nurtured. In the Balwadis, Malt, Hygienically prepared highly nutritive lunch were served, with vegetables, and evening vitamin rich cereals were provided to the children.

ITANAGAR, Oct 13: The third day of ‘Vijay Hi Vijay’ camp organized by Vivekananda Kendra, shed light on the need for instilling physical and more importantly, mental strength in today’s youth.

A total of 3320 students appeared for AISSCE-2010, class XII bofard exam conducted by CBSE from Andaman and Nicobar islands.

Kum. Nithya nair scored 96.4% (482/500) marks in tha same and was ranked first in these islands.

Every year Swami Vivekananda Mahasamadhi day falls on 4th July which is being celebrated as Vivekananda Kendra Karyakarthas day. During that day Anna Pooja and Cultural programme by the Vivekananda Kendra workers will be held.
