Vivekananda Kendra Assam Prant, branch-Tinsukia, organized one Medical Camp at Jhinga Basti of Tinsukia district of Assam on 13th September. A total 216 patients were examined in the camp and free medicines were distributed accordingly.

Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam's sudden demise has left us all in grief. VK-nardep also shares the anguish of the nation and vows to keep working for the vision of Dr.Kalam. One of his last wishes has been the realization of Green Rameshwaram which he himself inaugurated. 'Green Rameshwaram' project provided the rightful memorial service to Dr.Kalam by involving themselves in brining solar light based electricity to the coastal hamlet on the day of Dr.Kalam's funeral. On the occasion of MEJSP, three vkvs’ of Barak Valley namely VKV, Ramnagar, Silchar, VKV, Borojalenga and VKV Badarpur organized a former and present teachers’ meet for the teachers’ of VKVs’ of Barak Valley on 23 august 2015 at VKV, ramnagar, Silchar. The program started at 10am.
The Teachers’ Orientation Camp was organised from 14th to 17th August 2015 at VKV (NEC) Baragolai for the teachers who have completed around 7 years in VKVs of Assam and Nagaland, and also the Principals or Vice Principals of these Vidyalayas. A total of 85 senior teachers (51 gents & 34 ladies) including the heads of the Vidyalayas attended this camp, of which the objective was “Consolidation and Strengthening” of our academic activities.
Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti recently organized a few medical camps in some villages of Lekang circle of Namsai district. On 27th, 28th and 29th August 2015 the camps were organized at Manpanglang, Singibeel and Kakoni respectively. A total 766 patients were examined and free medicines were distributed to the suffering patients. All Lekang Youth and Students’ Union supported the cause initiated by Vivekananda Kendra and their volunteers including president and secretary were personally present in all the camps.
