Vidyarambha ceremony of VKV Sissiborgaon was held on 07/09/2016. Total Eighteen students along with their parents were present in the function.

Vivekananda Kendra Dibrugarh organized an inter schools Surya Namaskar Competition  and a mass Surya Namaskar program held at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya ,Dibrugarh on the occasion of “UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY” to commemorate the Historical speech by the patriotic Hindu monk of India Swami Vivekananda at “World Parliament of Religion” held at Chicago,America on 11th September 1893. 350 attained the program. 

Another year has passed, and we at VKIC continue our mission of protecting and promoting the ancient wisdom and traditions of North East India. The evaluation of the activities possibly lies not in the size and shape of them, but in identification of the core value within them.

In the midst of the rush for dissecting the differences amongst the communities, in their attire and food, minor variations in the rites and rituals, the job and mission of exploring the core unity is a challenging task. VKIC is committed to this cause.

Two days health camp was organized on 20th and 21stAugust 2016 at Majuli by Vivekananda Kendra NRL Hospital, Numaligarh in association with Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Majuli.

Teachers’ Orientation Camp for the teachers’ of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas of Assam & Nagaland. 1st to 3rd August 2016 at VKV (NEEPCO) Umrangso

Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture, Guwahati is offering a few Junior Fellowships to do empirical studies in the areas of Culture and Development of Northeast India. 

Selected applicants will have to work under supervision of assigned supervisors, get involved in academic activities of the Institute and produce a publishable work. The duration of the fellowship is six months. Each fellowship carries an amount of Rs. 15,000/ per month.     

Free medical camps were organised by Vivekananda Kendra Assam Prant with Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Shiksha Prasar Vibhag.

Bajaj Electricals under its CSR initiative has supported and helped to start a solar powered computer training center for quality and effective education for underprivileged students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tezpur, Assam. This is one of its kind which has been initiated in North Eastern Region by the company. It is envisaged that the project is going to benefit more than 400 students coming from local tribes & non tribes under Binduguri Panchayat in general and girl students in particular.
