Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Arunachal Prant, Manipur Vibhag, Imphal Branch, organized a Yoga Satra from January 5th to 14th, 2024, at the Kelimakhong community hall in Tera, Imphal West. Ten participants enrolled for the Yoga Satra and engaged enthusiastically, learning and practicing yoga.
On January 10th, 2024, Oja Dr. Sinam Rajendra Singh ji, a Urologist surgeon and participant in previous yoga satras, conducted a demonstration of Jala Neti. He also addressed the participants, sharing insights on ‘Yoga, the way of life.’
Swami Vivekananda Jayanti was celebrated during the Yoga Satra on January 12th, 2024. All participants and the public joined in offering pushpanjali to Swami Vivekananda at the Kelimakhong community hall in Tera. A total of 20 people participated in this event.
The concluding program took place on January 14th, 2024, with the presence of Oja Kh Dinesh Singh ji from the Dept of Teachers Education, DM University, and Tamo Arun ji, the President of the local Development Committee. Kendra Karyakartas from Thangmeiband, Khurai, Chengmeirong visited during the course. Despite severe cool temperatures, the yoga satra participants demonstrated utmost sincerity throughout the Satra. As a follow-up, Kendra Varga is planned to be conducted every Sunday at the same location.
