With great joy, we are pleased to announce that Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Arunachal Pradesh Trust (VKVAPT) has been honoured with the Gold Medal in the State Awards presented by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
This prestigious State Award is bestowed annually by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh upon individuals and organizations who have excelled in their respective fields and contributed significantly to the welfare of Arunachal Pradesh. This year, the prestigious Gold Medal was conferred upon Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Arunachal Pradesh Trust (VKVAPT) in recognition of its outstanding contribution as an institution.
VKVAPT has been recognized for its commitment to providing Man-Making – Nation-Building education, as envisioned by Swami Vivekananda and implemented as a mission by Mananeeya Sri Eknathji Ranade, the Founder of Vivekananda Kendra headquartered at Kanyakumari.
The award also acknowledges the dedicated, inclusive, tireless, committed, and consistent service rendered by the teachers, support staff, Jeevanvratis, and other Karyakartas in empowering individuals and communities across Arunachal Pradesh, aiming to improve their standard of living, raise self-confidence, and nurture inter-community bonds.
Furthermore, VKVAPT has been commended for placing traditional culture, customs, and values at the heart of its educational approach, drawing from Bharat’s ancient wisdom of inner transformation and outer harmony. This endeavour contributes to Arunachal Pradesh's strength of enlightened citizens and skilled professionals in various spheres of life.
Additionally, VKVAPT has inspired its alumni to contribute their time and energy to works of social and national significance while cultivating a deeper understanding and appreciation of Arunachal Pradesh across India.
This recognition underscores VKVAPT's unwavering commitment to excellence in education and its genuine reverence for its mission. The State Awards were conferred by the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt. General KT Parnaik Ji (Retd.), during a distinguished ceremony at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Itanagar, on 21st February 2024.
The State function was graced by the presence of Chief Minister Sri Pema Khandu ji, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Sri Pasang Dorjee Sona Ji, Cabinet Ministers, distinguished guests, and invitees. Chief Secretary Sri Dharmendra Ji conducted the event.
Interacting over a High Tea on the special occasion, the Governor congratulated the awardees and conveyed his good wishes to them. He stated that the deeds of the awardees will inspire their peers and other citizens in the State.
