Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Kempegowda Vibhag, Hebbal Nagar, celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day on 11 September 2026 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. The programme witnessed the participation of 52 people, including 40 students and 12 Karyakartas.
The programme commenced with Deepa Prajwalan, followed by Shanti Path. The children were introduced to the significance of Universal Brotherhood Day and Swami Vivekananda’s message of unity, harmony and the oneness of humanity.
An audio-visual presentation on Swami Vivekananda was shown, highlighting his inspiring journey and the challenges he faced during his visit to Chicago. The presentation brought out his determination, courage and dedication in carrying Bharat’s spiritual message to the world.
The children enthusiastically presented quotations of Swami Vivekananda and shared their thoughts on the topic “Swami Vivekananda as an Inspiration to Students.” A few children also dressed as Swami Vivekananda, adding enthusiasm to the celebration. This was followed by a patriotic song led by Smt. Ramya Sudhir.
Shri A.P. Prasad Ji, Karnataka Prant Pramukh, Vivekananda Kendra addressed the children and explained how Swami Vivekananda continues to inspire young minds. He encouraged them to strive for excellence and give their best in every role and responsibility they undertake. Shri Hardik Ji, All India iT Sangathak, Vivekananda Kendra also addressed the children and shared inspiring thoughts and guidance.
The programme concluded with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra and Sankalpa, inspiring the children to cultivate a sense of responsibility, excellence and Universal Brotherhood in their lives.
