Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, Hebbal Nagar, celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day at the VS Yoga Kendra in Hebbal Kempapura on 28th September 2024. While the event was initially planned for about 30 attendees, it far exceeded expectations with a turnout of 70 participants. Despite ongoing exams, parents enthusiastically brought their children to join the celebration.
The evening's highlight was a series of captivating dance performances by children, skillfully choreographed under the guidance of Sri Rahul ji. The high quality of the performances drew admiration from all attendees.
The chief guest, Dr. Seema Sharma, delivered an inspiring address. A graduate of the Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) program in 1999 from Chikmagalur district, Karnataka, Dr. Seema began her career at Arya Vaidya Shala, Kottakal, and gained extensive experience at AVP Coimbatore and in Gujarat. Since 2007, she has been practicing in Kempapura. In addition to her medical expertise, she holds a YIC and a PG Diploma in Yoga for Doctors from SVYASA University, Bangalore.
During her speech, Dr. Seema captivated the audience by sharing engaging stories about Swami Vivekananda, which particularly resonated with the children. She expressed deep appreciation for the Nachiketa Samskara Varga training and the overall atmosphere of the event. Eager to support future programs, Dr. Seema also emphasized the importance of such service activities.
